The Statue of Liberty
Tickets for the statue and ferry around Ellis Island were $13 when we visited, or can be bought as part of the New York Pass/ New York CityPass. You can also now visit the Crown level and the pedestal but these tickets need to be booked well in advance of your planned visit as they sell out quickly.
Standard opening hours to visit are:
Sunday: 9:30 AM – 3:30 PM
Monday: 9:30 AM – 3:30 PM
Tuesday: 9:30 AM – 3:30 PM
Wednesday: 9:30 AM – 3:30 PM
Thursday: 9:30 AM – 3:30 PM
Friday: 9:30 AM – 3:30 PM
Saturday: 9:30 AM – 3:30 PM
The first ferry departs at 9:30 am and the last departs at 3:30 pm, with extended hours in the summer and around holidays. The island is is open every day except December 25.

Open seven (7) days a week. From now until September 4th 2017 the extended opening hours are from 9:00am until 10:00pm (last ticket sold at 9:15pm). The box office opens daily at 9:00am and can be found at One World Trade Center, 285 Fulton Street, New York, New York 10007.
