The pieces on display include some from legends including Karl Lagerfeld for Chanel and Yves Saint Laurent, both long-term friends of Mr Talley. Alongside these designs are accessories and personal items from Talley’s personal collection and a number of photographs. For a chance to get an insight a true fashion legend, the exhibition is a must-see.

During his career Talley befriended a legion of fashion icons. He met everyone from Yves Saint Laurent, Karl Lagerfeld, Oscar de la Rent, Tom Ford and Betty Catroux, and had a longstanding friendship with Lee Radziwell. In his book The Chiffon Trenches Talley recalls his memories from a lifetime spent in fashion, as well as the impact of growing up in the segregated South and how this affected him in later life.
